Guy is a genuine creative force and we have to say, just an awesome all around human being. Over the past decade of directing Guy has shone regardless of genre or medium. A creator to the core with an often inspiring focus on craft and concept. Guy has created an impressive and eclectic body of work including commercials, music videos, and short films. Guy joined SMUGGLER in 2002 after winning Best New Director at Cannes, and was included in the Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase the same year.
He has helmed award-winning spots for clients such as MINI Cooper, IKEA, Virgin Mobile, Coca-Cola, Honda, Range Rover, Skittles, Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Weetabix, and Barclays Bank.
Guy directed comedian/actor Kevin Hart for Vitamin Water with Crispin Porter + Bogusky. He has also helmed projects for Hertz with adam&eveDDB, MoneySuperMarket with Mother London, JBL with BBH New York, and Tommy John with Preacher.
Guy has also lent his talents as a director to the realm of virtual reality content creation, with his pioneering genre experience named Catatonic, the first ever live-action virtual reality horror film. Catatonic has been captivating audiences this year at SXSW, Cannes, Comic Con, and the Vancouver International Film Festival.
In 2017, Guy directed Convenience Store Hold UP for JBL, a spot that comedically showcases the dangers of wires on headphones. In 2018, Guy directed two campaigns that deftly exhibited his directorial style and wit: one for Google Pay and one for British Airways (the latter starring revered British comedian Matt Lucas).
