rubberband. exploded onto the scene and have quickly become one of the most sought after directors working in films, commercials, music videos and fashion today.  Comprised of Jason Sondock and Simon Davis, their boundless creativity is only matched by their ambition, dynamism, and work ethic. rubberband. are multidimensional creators, never satisfied with the status-quo, always pushing the boundaries of innovation.  

The award-winning filmmaking duo have received honors at the top international film festivals and advertising award shows including Sundance, SXSW, Cannes Lions, Ciclope, Ad Age, Clio Awards, Young Guns, 1.4 Awards, and YDA, among others. Their short film “Don’t Go Tellin’ Your Momma” found universal acclaim. most notably winning the Short Film Jury Award in Non-Fiction at the Sundance Film Festival as well as the Special Jury Recognition for Visionary Storytelling at SXSW. The duo continued to sweep the film festival circuit, winning top honors at DOC NYC, HollyShorts, and the San Francisco Film Festival, to name a few, while qualifying for the 94th Academy Awards in the Documentary Short Subject category. The film was released online by the New York Times’ OpDocs and is also available to stream on the Criterion Channel.

Recent commercial work includes their film”Dry” for Zara, a nuanced and surrealist fashion short with a story-first approach, set in a NYC laundromat. Their four spot series for Brand Jordan is a collection of quietly confident films, all of which are elevated, artful, rooted in an emotional truth and elevated in execution. They’ve directed several campaigns for Calvin Klein, including “The Language of Calvin,” in which they used a found poem to create an intimate series of vignettes, and “Manifesto” featuring some of the biggest names in music, fashion and sports. Partnering with Instagram, they helmed a global campaign “Yours To Make,” a masterclass from a craft perspective showcasing their full prowess and command as storytellers and image makers.
