Biography

Enter C Prinz’s world. The multi-hyphenate artist and self-taught filmmaker brings visceral emotionality and layered narrative to everything she does. With a background in dance, design and choreography, she has a profound understanding of the expressive potential of the human form, distilling concepts to their essence with confidence, poise and clarity of vision.

In advertising, Prinz skillfully wields this captivating force, shaping stories that are as kinetic as they are cinematic, always bearing the unmistakable mark of her artistry. She put style in motion with “Dream Together” for On, featuring superstar Zendaya – a cinematic film that showcases a filmmaker in total command of her craft with a penchant for performance and directing A-list talent. Additional commercial collaborators include some of the world’s most influential brands, such as Apple, Nike, Samsung Hennessy, Givenchy, Spotify, and YSL.

Her award-winning video for Doechii’s “Crazy” redefined innovation in the music world, stunning audiences with its brashness, bravado and explosive energy. “Crazy” received multiple recognitions, including a 1.4 Gold Award for Best Dance Music Video, a CICLOPE Award, a UKMVA for Best Choreography, a SXSW Official Selection and a Best of the Year Vimeo Staff Pick – all while being banned on YouTube. Continuing their collaboration, Prinz’s creative direction of Doechii’s School of Hip Hop delivered show-stopping sets at Glastonbury and Roskilde, blending bold theatricality with dynamic energy. She also directed Doechii’s now-iconic Grammy performance, fusing Tampa grit with Broadway spectacle in a swamp-inspired visual tour de force. Her choreography and camera direction for Charli XCX brought the Brat movement to the Grammy stage, cementing Prinz’s reputation for kinetic, captivating storytelling.

Her genre-defying short film God Is Good extends her bold, expressive storytelling into narrative cinema, where Prinz’s command of movement and emotion takes on new, deeply personal dimensions. Written by and starring Tony-nominated Jeremy Pope, the film is a wholly original blend of memoir, monologue, surreal narrative and expressionistic dance. It premiered at the Tate Modern in London in association with Dazed and was acquired by the Criterion Channel.

In addition to her output as an artist, Prinz captivated audiences at CICLOPE with her speech on “the value of being the worst in the room.”

It’s rare to come across a voice as arresting as C Prinz’s. Whether she’s helming a commercial, music video, narrative film or creative directing a global tour, she takes bold creative swings, fully committing, without compromise. Consistently defining visual culture, there’s an undeniable aesthetic throughline in her work and worldview that emanates and demands attention.
