Biography

Ebeneza Blanche is a multidisciplinary filmmaker known for his cinematic elegance, layered visual storytelling and distinctive sense of style. Drawing from his upbringing between Ghana and the UK, his work blends striking imagery with cultural specificity, crafting films that feel timeless, dynamic and deeply alive.

His singular approach has earned widespread acclaim, including Best New Director honours at YDA, AICP, UKMVA, Kinsale and Creative Circle. Among his most notable work is his landmark video for Little Simz’s “Point & Kill” which became a cultural and critical phenomenon for its vibrant, retro style and narrative depth, winning Best Music Video at the UKMVAs, screening at SXSW and becoming the first music video officially selected for the Tribeca Film Festival.

Expanding his music-video work into full-scale world-building, Blanche creative-directed Ezra Collective’s upcoming album campaign spanning a short film, photography, moving portraits, a trailer voiced by Letitia Wright and three music videos. Channeling the album’s celebratory energy, the work delivers a rich, visually cohesive universe shaped by rhythm, emotion and a strong sense of place.

His notable commercial work includes the CICLOPE award-winning “A Hero’s Journey” for Gucci x GQ, a reflective, stylized portrait of NFL superstar Jalen Ramsey that explores identity and self-mythology. His “N°5 Drops” for Chanel blends the brand’s iconic heritage with dreamlike movement and a modern, observational lens, featuring standout performances from Luka Sabbat, Phoebe Tonkin, Victoria Dauberville and Ebony Riley, while “A Beautiful Run” for Nike with Wieden + Kennedy London turns Eliud Kipchoge’s fifth Berlin Marathon victory into a surreal, cinematic meditation on mental resilience.

Blanche continues to expand on his acclaimed body of work defined by an intuitive command of camera movement, rhythm and emotion. Across every project, he brings a meticulous attention to detail, from casting and location to styling and performance, shaping worlds that are textured, deeply human and unmistakably his own.
