Joe Wright is an Academy Award-winning director celebrated for his ability to play with time in a single take, redefine genres, and breathe new life into classic narratives. A true master of the craft, Wright’s film’s are characterized by his creative use of long takes and tracking shots, striking mise-en-scène, and meticulous attention to detail.
He burst onto the global stage with his feature film directorial debut, Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley. This film adaptation of Jane Austen’s timeless novel garnered critical acclaim and earned him four Academy Award nominations, a BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer and Best Director of the Year from the London Film Critics’ Circle.
