Pantera is an Argentinian directing trio comprised of Pato Martinez, Brian Kazez and Francisco Canton, known for their timeless storytelling and unmistakable craft. With a quiet confidence and understated, assured approach, they effortlessly weave dynamic camera language, nuanced performances, bold concepts, and layered visuals into every project.
Their distinctive aesthetic has led to collaborations with some of the world’s most influential brands, including Nike, Mercedes-Benz, Visa, Jordan and Nikon. Garnering widespread critical acclaim, Pantera has earned accolades from Cannes Lions, CICLOPE, The One Show, and multiple UK Music Video Award nominations, in addition to selections at film festivals such as Cannes, TIFF and BFI London. Among their standout work is the hauntingly poetic modern myth of an African surfer “Woza” for surf company Mami Wata, which earned a Vimeo Staff Pick for Best Video of the Month.
Most recently, Pantera captured the spirit of athleticism and individuality with “Our Turn” for Jordan, starring NBA Celtics star Jayson Tatum. Created for the One Finals, the film pulses with kinetic energy and vibrant visuals, inviting the next generation to take their shot at glory. In the CICLOPE Gold winning “Historias Argentinas” for Renault, Pantera delivers a cinematic, culturally rich narrative rooted in their homeland and elevated by their expert use of sound. Their “Valet Guys” spot for Mercedes, featuring valets engaging in high-octane, reckless stunts with customers’ cars, brings comedic action film sequences to advertising with timeless humour, dynamic storytelling and masterful craft.
Other notable work includes Pantera’s poignant “The Journey” film for the UNHCR, capturing the resilience of a refugee Olympic athlete through an understated yet powerful lens, told entirely through the movement of a single pair of legs. Continuing their work for Mercedes-Benz, “Blowfish” delivers contemporary elegance with cinematic visuals and a surreal narrative of a boy and a fish. Additionally, Pantera has lent their vision and artistry to some of the world’s leading fashion brands, helming campaigns for Jacquemus, Zalando and Adidas, to name a few.
