Academy Award–winning director Tom Hooper is renowned for his masterful storytelling, adeptly capturing emotionality through distinctive performances and camera styles. Notably versatile, he effortlessly transitions from historical dramas to musicals, and from film and tv to commercials with emotional clarity, striking composition and a rare ability to translate intimate experience into sweeping cinematic form.

Hooper’s films have become landmarks of contemporary cinema. The King’s Speech earned four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, for its portrayal of vulnerability and courage. His adaptation of Les Misérables transformed the stage musical into an immersive cinematic experience, earning three Oscars and eight nominations. With The Danish Girl, Hooper earned an Oscar and four nominations for his nuanced portrayal of love and identity. He is currently working on Photograph 51, a drama starring Natalie Portman as pioneering scientist Rosalind Franklin.

Additionally, he worked his musical magic in “Nobody Watches Like U.S.” for Paramount+, reimagining the UCL anthem to celebrate the devotion of American fans. He further showcased his range and penchant for comedic directing in “All Systems Pro” for Apple, “Impact” for Sky Broadband starring Idris Elba, and his Jaguar Super Bowl film “Rendezvous,” featuring Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong, blending pitch perfect performance with sharp wit and playful irreverence.
