Biography
Scott Boggins’ diverse projects have won both critical acclaim and industry accolades. The 12-time Sports Emmy Award winner has earned the distinction by producing captivating work with rich storytelling. Most recently, serving as Executive Producer/Showrunner of the documentary series Messi Meets America for Apple TV+. In addition to the series with Lionel Messi/Inter Miami in 2023, Boggins directed the acclaimed two-part documentary for Peacock called Untitled: The Noah Lyles Project, which followed the world’s fastest-man dramatic journey to three world championship titles.
In 2019, Boggins founded Five Films and immediately received a commission from Fox Sports to produce shoulder programming for its boxing property – Premier Boxing Champions. From 2019 through 2021, Five Films produced 65+ hours of content around the most anticipated and high-profile fights. Well-versed at running shows in fluid production environments, Boggins also produced the ground-breaking HBO Sports series 24/7, a sports series that became synonymous for its gritty aesthetic, timely presentation, and authentic storytelling of human drama surrounding marquee sports events and teams.
Boggins’ credit list on non-sports projects includes the acclaimed Showtime series The Circus, a real time documentary series following the dysfunction that is US politics, and the innovative National Geographic Channel documentary series entitled Chain of Command, showcasing the global fight against violent extremism. Credits also include multiple documentaries for Showtime, Fox Sports, and Peacock. Projects like American Rock Stars, Being: Liverpool, and Hoops U. From 1998 to 2006, Boggins also served as lead producer at NBC Olympics during the Sydney, Salt Lake, Athens, and Torino Olympics.
