Fenn O’Meally is an award-winning filmmaker and photographer with a background in documentary filmmaking and radio journalism. Born in Birmingham, England and of Jamaican heritage, Fenn’s love for sharing the honest anecdotes of human life comes through effortlessly in her work, as she authentically crafts stories within the worlds of music, creative culture and fashion.

As a writer and director, her work is textured and nuanced, observational and curious, always creating a distinctly lived-in feel. She possesses an effortless style and relentless focus on craft to build cinematic worlds complete with pitch perfect performances. There’s a palpable sense of discovery in everything that she does.

Fenn has directed films for some of the world’s leading brands including Louis Vuitton, Amazon Music, Nike, BYREDO, WhatsApp, Prada, Apple, Burberry, and Chanel among many others. She’s also shot some of the industry’s most exciting artists, including Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Jorja Smith, Bakar, Wu-Tang Clan, JNR Williams, Letitia Wright, Sampha and Spike Lee.

In addition to Fenn’s success at the CICLOPE Festival, 1.4 Awards, UKMVAs, AICP Awards, and shots EMEA, she is a Young Guns 18 winner for film, a competition organized by The One Club. Fenn was selected as Director to Watch at the Ad Age Creativity Awards and named a Director of the Year finalist at the One show.

Most recently, Fenn reminded the ad world that TV spots can be ambitious, honest narrative stories with her beautifully observed, nuanced and pitch perfect short film Generational Queens for Amazon Music and Droga5. The two-minute film celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop and the rich female influence on the genre with Fenn’s trademark directorial restraint.

Fenn is fast emerging as a standout talent, bringing a fresh, dynamic and original voice to the worlds of film, fashion, music videos, and advertising. She is representative of the next generation of filmmakers fluent across mediums creating work that influences larger culture.
