Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović is a Croatian-American filmmaker known for her meticulously crafted narratives, unflinching exploration of power dynamics and innate artistic sensibility. Her first feature film Murina was globally lauded for its masterful depiction of family tensions. Following its debut at the Cannes Film Festival where it secured the Caméra d’Or Award for Best First Film, Murina also received nominations from the DGA Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in First-Time Feature Film and from the Film Independent Spirit Awards across categories including Best First Feature, Best Breakthrough Performer, and Best Cinematography.

With her latest short film “Stane,” featured as part of the Women’s Tales series for Miu Miu, Antoneta established herself among a distinguished cohort of female filmmakers who have contributed to the collection.
